Sustainability
EcoSpark is proud to call Artscape Wychwood Barns its home. Artscape Wychwood Barns is a community cultural hub where a dynamic mix of arts, culture, food security, urban agriculture, environmental and other community activities and initiatives come together to provide a new lease on life for a century-old former streetcar facility.
Artscape Wychwood Barns is LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Gold Certified, embracing environmentally sustainable design by responding imaginatively to the issues of brownfield redevelopment, water/energy conservation and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. It is also the first designated heritage site in Canada to seek LEED Canada certification.
As an environmental charity, EcoSpark holds itself to the highest environmental standards in its daily operations and sustainable practices are built into the organizational culture.
